Also we tested with a mic. Although I believe these are designed as line level devices, we were surprised to find plugging in a Shure SM58 mic to XLR in and the xLR output to an XLR mic jack on our mixer amp, it had enough level to pass good level audio and allow tonal adjustments, so I guess if you have a good gain structure, you can add one of these EQs as an individual mic equalizer. (note we tested with our mixer amp phantom power OFF, and do not recommend using with a phantom powered system or mics as that could damage the input on this unit) May work good for a ham CB radio mic EQ as well depending on your impedance and levels.
