Since the bypass is connected to the remote wire to power it, when one turns off the radio, power can feed back into the bypass from the external amp not allowing the bypass to shut off. Either one has to disconnect their external amp from the remote wire and find a different 12v fused source to power the external amp or install a diode in the remote wire after the bypass connection.
