This listing is for a set of replacement lamps for the small-chassis Tandberg 2000-series receivers. You will receive 6 dial lamps and one dial indicator lamp, NOT an entire receiver (have to include that, yes it has happened!). You will also receive (via emailed pdf) a detailed, illustrated instruction sheet covering installation of the lamps. Tandberg earned a reputation for building rock-solid, super high-performance stereo receivers in the late 1970’s. These fine audio components were hand-assembled in Norway, and their tuners had sensitivity and noise rejection capabilities equal to some of the finest component tuners made. They had a beautiful sonic quality and were built to last a lifetime. This auction is for complete lamp replacement kit for the series of small-to-medium powered receivers Tandberg produced in this period: TR 2025 / 2025MBTR 2030 / 2030LTR 2040TR 2045TR 2060 / 2060LHuldra 12 The kit includes 6 new, frosted-white wedge-type dial lamps (two go behind the meters & four behind the tuner display), and a red replacement bulb with bare wires for the dial indicator (requires soldering to install). All of these match the original part specifications and install exactly as the originals did. These are matching bulbs for both the amber display models (like the 2060 shown in the first picture) and the earlier blue display models. The color difference is based on the tint of the plexiglas display panel. No stereo lamp is included, as that part is actually a standard red LED and almost never fails anyway. The bulbs shown in the picture are the actual parts you will receive. I will also mail you a detailed instruction sheet for replacing the bulbs, as shown. The Tandberg receiver & literature shown are not included. This kit is perfect for restoring the original look & feel of your vintage Tandberg receiver. It also includes ALL of the lamps you need, not just the dial lamps, plus it maintains the original look feel & warmth of the original Tandberg design. LED's are wonderful for some things but they don't deliver those same attributes. And, with lamps you don't have to worry about AC flicker or having to add components to filter it out. Note: If your receiver has been modified to accept non-original bulbs, you may have to reverse those modifications to use this lighting kit. I have sourced some wedge-base sockets that can be used to repair crumbling or removed original sockets and can add those to your purchase for an additional cost. They fit the PCB correctly so soldering them in place of the originals is easy, but the sockets are very slightly wider diameter at the front than the hole in the aluminum cross-member that they have to pass through. You can either shave the sockets down slightly to fit, or use a reamer or Unibit to enlarge the hole in the aluminum piece which is my preference. DHL & UPS are much, much higher. I will use First Class Mail International where possible but it has a weight cut-off of 4 lbs. I use recycled packaging materials when I can, because I believe it is the environmentally sound thing to do. I also use new USPS Priority & other packaging materials to supplement the recycled materials where appropriate. I’m always very careful to make sure the item being shipped is properly protected regardless of the type of packing materials used.
