These SD cards are genuine Sandisk and have the "Sandisk" logo actually molded into the back of the card as shown in the photos. These are surplus Nextar USA maps 1GB SD cards for use in Nextar GPS units or re-format the cards and use them in cameras or other devices that use SD cards. I do not have the ability to determine what year maps are on these cards but the latest files show a 2007 date so the maps are probably 2008. I inserted one of these cards into a Garmin Nuvi 265w GPS and the card was not recognized. I also inserted a card into a Canon digital camera and a Panasonic digital camera and the cards reformatted fine and stored pictures perfectly. The cards are recognized on my MacBook Pro as external storage formatted as MS-DOS(FAT16). The "USA MAPS" card has a folder titled "Netropa Intellinav" - inside that is another folder titled "maps" that contains 14 files. Photos of my computer screen show the actual files on this card. I am selling these cards as used 1GB SD cards with no guarantee that the files on the cards will work with anything so these SD cards are sold AS-IS. I insert each and every card into my computer to make sure the card itself is recognized before I mail it. The cards in the pictures are not necessarily the cards you will receive but all the SD cards are identical to the cards in the pictures, I just photographed randomly selected cards and then put them back with all the others. Some of the cards in a lot may be blank but at least one of the cards will have all the map files so you can just copy the map files to any blank cards if you want all cards to have the map files. PROCEDURE TO ERASE THESE CARDS: There have been incidents where buyers have told me that the card or cards will only hold a few pictures. After I respond with this procedure, the cards all worked normally. 1. The card must first be erased in a computer. Nextar uses a proprietary file format that many cameras do not recognize and therefore the files will not be deleted when the card is reformatted in the camera. Open the card on your computer, select ALL, then move to trash. This will also remove hidden files. 2. BEFORE you eject the card, DELETE or empty the trash or hidden files may remain on the card. 3. Then format the card in your camera or device. Now the full capacity of the card will be accessible. The last photo shows the 1984 Olympics LAOOC envelope that I use for mailing these SD cards, it is NOT junk mail when you receive it. The envelope sent to you will have my printed return address and your address will be hand-lettered. Hand addressed non-machinable mail is handled separately by USPS so it may take a few days more to receive the letter. 2. $4 for USPS First Class Package with tracking.
