Gaming console If you are going to use the converter with gaming console such as PS2,PS1,Xbox, pls make sure your gaming component cable is well shielded and earthed. 99% of the gaming component cables are junk, they are not earthed and shielded at all. When pairing with those poor cables, there might be no video at all .. or the video will drops.. this is not the problem of the converter but the cables. Does not work with blu ray disc When playing Blu-ray Disc with your DVD player or Av receiver, there wont be video.. But just black screen. Video quality The component to hdmi converter is mainly designed to use elder devices with ypbpr port only but your latest tv comes with no ypbpr port. It can not improve or scale the video quality. In my personal point, under quite some cases, it degrades the video quality. Audio Problem The HDmatters' component to HDMI converter supports Digital coaxial and L/R stereo audio input.
