Sorbothane is a proprietary visco-elastic polymer which is a very effective acoustic damper and absorber. With a very high damping coefficient it combines shock absorption, good memory, vibration isolation and vibration damping characteristics. While many other materials exhibit one of these characteristics, Sorbothane combines all of them in a stable material with a long fatigue life over a very wide temperature range. Great for your audio / video equipment or other vibration isolation need. These feet are 1/2 of a 1.5 inch diameter sphere. 1.5" (38mm) diameter and are about 3/4" (19mm) high but squish down with weight. You will receive 4 feet in a plastic bag, new never used. These have a 50 durometer density we also sell 70. We suggest you use these on items up to 30lbs(13.5Kg), great for your high end DVD, CD, DVR, TIVO, turntable, or amp. Please see our store for more options. For heavier items we suggest using our high weight discs. This material may feel a bit sticky from its high plasticizer content. Most finishes are completely unaffected but plasticizers can migrate into some paints, varnish or wood. Most people don't use anything, but a small piece of felt or plastic can prevent any possible problems.
