It is a custom product inspired by the Altec A7 Voice of the Theater, designed in a compact size. The units used are the GHXAMP For ALTEC 3-inch full-range speaker unit, model “EB-M07800080100-B.” These units are commonly used in ALTEC LANSING PC speakers and surround systems. I was surprised by how beautifully the midrange to high frequencies are reproduced, characteristic of the ALTEC sound. The front horn design allows for vivid vocals and a rich soundstage, showcasing the warmth of vocals and the expressive tones of the alto saxophone—truly an ALTEC experience. This front horn bass reflex speaker provides a bass response that surpasses its size. I have modified a "Goldwood GT-1016 piezo horn tweeter" to resemble the original A7's 511B sectoral horn. The piezo horn features improved diaphragm design, a cast-metal-like finish, and is coupled with a capacitor for low-cut filtering. This full-range plus super tweeter configuration enhances clarity and definition in the sound.
