ABS is a terpolymer made by polymerizing styrene and acrylonitrile in the presence of polybutadiene. The proportions can vary from 15 to 35% acrylonitrile, 5 to 30% butadiene and 40 to 60% styrene. The result is a long chain of polybutadiene criss-crossed with shorter chains of poly(styrene-co-acrylonitrile). The nitrile groups from neighboring chains, being polar, attract each other and bind the chains together, making ABS stronger than pure polystyrene. You are buying TWO pieces of BLACK ABS 3/32" 8" x 12" This is TEXTURED on the front, and SMOOTH on the back. All of our dimensions are NOMINAL. There is a tolerance of (+/-)1/8" or 0.118" We also can do custom cuts, a minimum of 10 pieces. We cannot cut anything under 6". Please message us before placing your order to get a quote.
