Acclaimed Products, Inc. (banzerg) is a veteran owned and operated small business located in Ashtabula, Ohio HISTORYWhen Pioneer contracted with SMK to supply switches. They had SMK bastardize the mounting chassis so no other brand of switch would fit. You would have to purchase replacements from Pioneer. The SMK brand switch was either poorly designed or used inferior materials because the cam, which provides latching, would wear out prematurely. Realizing the problem. Pioneer switched to ALPS brand, SPUN series switches with a different chassis which, is no longer manufactured. This explains the reason for two different part numbers; SMK, ASG-216 ; ALPS, ASG-317.I initially began providing a switch assembly I contracted with Toneluck to manufacture until they stopped responding to my reorder requests. I then began to provide C&K / Schadow "F" series switches without a chassis. Technicians were soldering the switches into the pcb boards without concern for the chassis. It is my opinion, Pioneer used the chassis for convenient assembly of the units. It is not required for proper operation of the unit.Of the thousands of switches sold. I had one complaint. He believed the switches were too short and wanted a refund. I did my due diligence and discovered he was correct. I found the "F" series switches to be .4mm shorter than the original SMK brand. I began looking for a switch with dimensions closer to the SMK. I found Toneluck "PBA" series and ALPS "SPUN" series switches. Toneluck was the best choice because they manufacture both, the 4 pole and 6 pole switch, with chassis. However. As I mentioned earlier. Toneluck did not respond to my request for quote. That left ALPS. I contacted ALPS and was told they no longer manufacture the 6 pole or a chassis. I began selling a combination of C&K, 6 pole and ALPS, 4 pole without chassis. This is what I have been offering for many years without a single complaint. C&K has been purchased by littelfuse and are discontinuing the F6UEETB01A without top solder lugs. The F6UEETB, PBN-S6A35-AAG and TA6UEEAAGPN with top solder lugs remain available.
Push Button Switch Repair KitTwo Attenuator and One Tape Monitor (3 switches)For one switch see eBay item number: 232629298322 4 Pole Dual throw latching Designed specifically for professional audio applications This switch is better suited as a replacement because the plunger is .4 mm longer than the C&K and Schadow F series and matches that of the original SMK brand. This allows the button to extend further from the escutcheon (face plate) providing easier engagement of the switch and a return to the original specifications. PLEASE NOTE! The switches will not fit the original SMK chassis. They must be installed as stand alone switches. The chassis is not required for proper operation. Also. Up for sale here is this brand new power switch with pushbutton and snubber capacitor. This will work on most vintage Marantz receivers and amplifiers from the 1970s. It will replace both the square-shaft and the flat-blade pushbutton Marantz power switches. The mounting holes are 20mm apart. Many original Marantz switches have holes that are 25mm apart, but there should be at least one extra sets of holes already there that this will fit into. The old pushbutton knob cap will not fit this properly, so that's why a new knob is included. The snubber is a .1 uf 120 ohm 250 VAC capacitor, extremely similar to the original snubbers. It is a little larger than the original Marantz snubbers--the body measures 26.5mm x 15.7mm x 7mm thick. The wires are about 4 inches long, but you can cut them shorter. This is brand new and is higher-quality than the originals. It is guaranteed to work great for you. I use these switches on a LOT of vintage gear--they are great! This switch is no longer made, but I stocked up before it was discontinued so I have a large supply. The pushbutton may not be exactly the same length as the previous one, but it should be very close. The new pushbutton is 16 mm long and 10.4 mm in diameter. This will work for the following Marantz equipment: 105B 1030 1060 1070 1090 1120 2100 2110 2215 2215B 2216 2218 2220 2220B 2225 2230 2230B 2235 2235B 2238 2240 2240B 2245 2250 2250B 2252 2265 2270 2325 4220 4300 4400 5010B This will NOT work for the Marantz 2216B, 2226B, 2238B, 2252B, 2265B, 2285B, or 2330B. Those use a thinner pushbutton, so you will need to replace the switch and modify the old pushbutton to fit it. I have a switch available for those models here. This will NOT work for the Marantz 2010, 2015, 2275, 2285, 4230, 4240, 4270, or 4415--those use a special microswitch that I have available here. This will NOT work for the Marantz 1040, which uses a miniature microswitch that I do not have a replacement for. Installing this is simple--just wire it up exactly like the old one, using the new snubber capacitor to replace the old one. If you don't see a snubber capacitor attached to your power switch, it is probably wired across one of the rear AC outlets, so just look back there and replace it there. If your old power switch only has 4 terminals, not 6, then ignore the two terminals on the new switch that are closest to the plunger, and just use the four rear terminals. US shipping and handling is $5, and international is $18, no matter what quantity you buy. All my small parts are set up for combined shipping, so just use the "add to cart" feature and then check out all at once, and it will combine shipping. If you have any questions, please ask. Looking for more parts? I have power switches, feet, pushbuttons, top case screws, bottom screws, faceplate screws, white LED fuse lamps, blue LED fuse lamps, 6.3v bi-pin bulbs, 8v bi-pin bulbs, 12v bi-pin bulbs, wired 8v 60ma bulbs, new power cords, new main capacitors for the Marantz 1060/2230, wired Pioneer speaker plug replacements, new 630v yellow film capacitors at 38 different values, new 1200v yellow film capacitors at 15 values, a large variety of transistors for vintage stereo repair, new Wima film capacitors for stereo repair, new 250v yellow film crossover capacitors, and more.
